The Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer Wayne Swan and Sustainability Minister Tony Burke announced the outcomes of round four of the National Rental Affordability Scheme on 3 October 2011. (Note: NRAS was previously managed by the Department of Sustainability, Water, Population and Communities (SEWPAC). This round will deliver over 200 projects to build more than 17,000 affordable rental dwellings for low to moderate income households across the country.
