This report provides information on the operation of the Commonwealth–State Housing Agreement (CSHA) during 1996–97, the first year of its operation under the Housing Assistance Act 1996. The aim of the 1996 CSHA is to provide States and Territories with greater flexibility to provide a variety of housing services.
