Case 14 - Practice Principles for Working with a Multicultural Community

This document has been produced to ensure equity of access to SAAP services for all homeless people. It promotes a service delivery framework that maintains inclusivity, and reduces barriers that may actively prevent people from non-English speaking backgrounds from access. Moreover, this document is also aimed at increasing SAAP workers' understanding of the issues and challenges facing people from diverse cultural backgrounds who are homeless and/or experiencing family violence. It also provides a model for good practice.
