Uniting Families Project Report

2005

In 2004, UnitingCare Harrison Community Services received funding from the former Department of Family and Community Services, under the National Homelessness Strategy, to undertake the "Uniting Families Project".

The Uniting Families Project aims to reduce youth homelessness by stabilising young people within their families. The project provides an early intervention model of support for families in crisis, parents who are experiencing serious problems with their adolescent children and adolescents who are at risk of becoming homeless in the absence of intervention.

UnitingCare Harrison Community Services produced this report on the project and its outcomes. It documents the theoretical basis for the Uniting Families Project and the key findings and learning acquired through the development and implementation of the demonstration project.
