Outcomes of the survey on the impact on Families of the economic downturn


The Australian Government released preliminary report on the Impact on Families of the Economic Downturn. A survey of 1,650 families with at least one child aged under 18 years was conducted between May and June 2009. The Survey on the Impact on Families of the Economic Downturn was conducted to help understand the different ways in which families have been affected by, and responded to, the economic downturn and the changing economic environment.
