Funding for Intensive Support Playgroups 

Short Description: Funding to deliver Parenting and Children Services

General Information

The Australian Government is seeking applications for funding to deliver an Intensive Support Playgroup under the Family Support Program in Mt Druitt, New South Wales.

Service models

Intensive Support Playgroups are mobile playgroups that deliver play-based early childhood services and family support to families with young children across a number of locations within a defined area.

For Mt Druitt it is anticipated that there will be a mixture of families from any of the following target groups.

  • Families from a culturally or linguistically diverse (CALD) background
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families
  • Families with mental health and/or disability issues (parent and/or child)
  • Teenage and young parent Families
  • Families who are socially isolated and/or disadvantaged.

Application Period

Applications open at 9.00am, AEDT 5 February 2010 and close 2 pm, AEDST 9 March 2010.
