Step 1 – Identify your goals
Step 2 – identify a process for consultation with your participants/supported employees and staff
Step 3 – Draft your policy (consider the checklist and example)
Step 4 – Get participant/supported employee and staff comments on the draft. Consider and finalise the policy.
Step 5 – Prepare a staff version and participant/supported employee version of the policy in appropriate formats
