Each year FaCSIA uses the annual report as a benchmark for the accessibility of FaCSIA information online. The FaCSIA Annual Report for 2006-2007 reflects the work undertaken across FaCSIA to improve the accessibility and readability of online information products.
FaCSIA, the developers and the Accessible Information Solutions web accessibility group at the National Information and Library Service have worked to ensure that the FaCSIA Annual Report for 2006-2007 meets the highest levels of accessibility.
We encourage all users of the report to provide feedback regarding any problems experienced while viewing this report. Providing as much information as possible about your computer, operating system and browser makes it easier to identify your problems and fix them where possible.
As a key driver for the Commonwealth Disability Strategy, FaCSIA aims to provide a report accessible to the largest possible audience while demonstrating that the report can still remain attractive. We use standards for web design and style sheets to do this. Some of the features of the site that demonstrate this are:
For users with vision impairments, we particularly encourage you to provide us with feedback regarding the accessibility of the Annual Report 2006-2007. User feedback is an integral part of ensuring that FaCSIA online publications attain the highest level of accessibility.
Standards followed in the development of this site are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 1.0 (WCAG 1.0), a set of guidelines developed by the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to enable equal access to all users of the Internet.
For a detailed insight on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, refer to the Checklist of Checkpoints for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
This report incorporates the use of a style sheet to allow for the tidy printing of pages from CSS enabled browsers, if results are unsatisfactory please send us feedback. Again, providing as much information as possible about your computer, operating system, browser and printer make it a lot easier to identify problems. Alternatively, we suggest downloading the PDF version for printing.
There are several large pages that may take longer to download due to extensive table data and graphics. Please send us feedback if you think the download times were too excessive.
