New National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) Quality Improvement Toolkit is now online

The National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) Quality Improvement Toolkit is now available online. The Toolkit has been designed to provide useful tools, resources and advice to assist disability advocacy agencies to develop and improve their advocacy work, as well as to promote compliance with current and future quality assurance processes.

The Toolkit has been developed in consultation with the NDAP sector over the last few months. The majority of tools and resources within the Toolkit have been provided directly from NDAP agencies.

The emphasis of the Toolkit is practicality – it is not designed to be prescriptive. It is a resource for agencies to use as needed to support quality improvement, and should prove to be a valuable resource during annual self-assessments or Disability Services Standards Audits.

The Toolkit is divided into ten sections based on ten quality themes.p Each of the theme sections contains:

The Toolkit is a useful resource for the quality management of your agency and we strongly encourage you to use it.  The Toolkit is available on the FaHCSIA website.

If you have any feedback on the Toolkit please send your comments to disabilityadvocacy@fahcsia.gov.au

Saving changes to Case and Client records

Please remember to save your changes when updating the Case or Client records of your supported employees on FOFMS. To do this select the ‘Save Record’ option in the menu bar located in the FOFMS screen you are currently viewing.

Please note that any underpayments to your service resulting from unsuccessfully saved changes to Case and Client records will not be back-paid.

If you have any questions about updating Case or Client records please phone 1800 034 887 or email the Case Based Funding Helpdesk for more information.

Returning a Case from Suspension or Exit on FOFMS

When returning a Suspended Case on FOFMS, if there are other Cases for this supported employee, FOFMS will not allow you to proceed with the Return from Suspension procedure.  When you receive an error message you will need to call the Case Based Funding Helpdesk for assistance.  This process ensures that there are not two active cases on FOFMS for the one client and prevents dual funding.

Please phone 1800 034 887 or email the Case Based Funding Helpdesk if you require further information.
