This special edition of disAbility e-news is special edition to update Australian Disability Enterprise providers about:
The Australian Government will increase total funding available to Australian Disability Enterprises from $204.5 million in 2010-11 to $210.9 million in the 2011-12 financial year. The increase will commence from 1 July 2011.

How will the 2 per cent increase be delivered?
The 2 per cent pricing increase will be applied to existing Case Based Funding levels from 1 July 2011. The increase will be automatically applied through the FaHCSIA Online Funding Management System (FOFMS).
How will my organisation get its share of the $1.5m?
The amount of this payment varies between organisations. It will be calculated using a base amount per organisation, plus an additional amount to reflect the current outlet capacity of the Organisation. A loading has been added for any rural and remote outlets. The payment will be made into organisation bank accounts through FOFMS in the first weeks of July 2011.
How can my organisation apply for assistance through the capital fund?
The capital fund will be available from 1 July 2011. Organisations will need to apply through a selection process. Information about eligibility and the selection criteria for the fund will be made available through disAbility e-news shortly.
Following the Budget announcement, a 12 month extension to the current funding agreement will be offered to existing providers from 1 July 2011 until 30 June 2012.
Providers should be aware of the following amendments to the 2011-2012 Funding Agreement extension:
This further 12 month extension will allow the development of the next three year funding agreement to fully consider the recommendations of the current Case Based Funding Pricing Review. The next three year funding agreement will also support operational aspects of the Vision for Supported Employment. The Vision and associated reforms, including possible future budgetary consequences, will be considered within the context of the National Disability Strategy.
Your organisation will shortly receive a Letter of Variation and revised Additional Procedures and Information (Version 3) from FaHCSIA. Your organisation should sign and return the Letter of Variation to your State or Territory Office prior to
30 June 2011.
If you do not receive your Letter of Variation by 1 June 2011, please contact your Contract Manager in your State or Territory immediately. Your Contract Manager will also assist you with any queries you may have regarding the Letter of Variation and the 2011-2012 Funding Agreement.
