Behavioural Norparrin at Mill Park Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist or other professionals who have been trained to administer the PECS program Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) PECS is an augmentative / alternative communication system. It is a behavioural intervention, which teaches children with Autism to initiate communication. Its focus is strongly based around a child’s interests and motivators. This Behavioural intervention would be structured in the following way. The Program includes: • Information session (1 hour) • Initial, home visit to determine goals (1 hour ) • 7 x Weekly (with parent and child) centre based sessions of PECS (1/2 hour). • 1 childcare/preschool visits to assist with generalisation (1 hour) This program runs approximately for 10 weeks. $1170 / Program
Therapy-based; Family-based Norparrin at Mill Park Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist or Special Educators Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist; Child/Special Educator This program will offer: • Individual weekly service (1 hour) delivered at home/child care/centre based. It will include centre based service – assessment, family service and support plan, individual goal setting and program plan, Floortime principles, PECS, sensory motor and other intervention as determined by staff/therapists. $135 / Session
Developmental/Social Learning Norparrin at Mill Park 3 professionals including: Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Early Childhood Intervention Teacher, Assistant or Psychologist (where required) Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist; Psychologist; Teacher Going to school group: Focuses on building social, motor, language and play skills required for successful school transition. 6 x 1.5 hour sessions held weekly $1085 / Program
Norparrin at Mill Park 3 professional including Speech Pathologist/ Occupational Therapist/ Special Educator Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist; Child/Special Educator Autism Specific Parent-Child Group. A 2 hour group program of 6 families (parent & child) with Autism incorporating principles from the following models of practice: - Family-Centred Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) - Hanen - Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) - D.I.R (Development, Individual-Difference, Relationship) Floor-time Approach. Program will run for 1/ 2 Terms (predominantly group program with provision individual component) $2300 / Term
Therapy-based Norparrin at Mill Park Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist Individual therapy sessions provided. 45 minutes therapy. Individualised program based on the needs of the child as determined through formal/informal assessment and discussion. Standardised assessment and report also provided. $135 / Session
Developmental/Social Learning Norparrin at Mill Park Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Early Intervention Specialised Teachers Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist School Transition Support/Inclusion support. Successful transition to school requires careful planning and preparation and an understanding of the specific needs of each student. Parents and professionals need to work together to make decisions about appropriate supports and resources. An Individual Learning Plan would be developed by the team working with the child and support, resources and an intervention plan developed and implemented. This would assist with supporting an effective transition and assist to achieve positive learning outcomes throughout the year. $135 / Hour
Therapy-based Speech Results at Ivanhoe Speech Pathologist One hour assessment sessions. Comprehensive assessment of child’s play, interaction, comprehension, expressive communication and language, pragmatic language and other social skills. 2 – 3 assessment sessions may be required for children on the autism spectrum. $190 per hour in rooms. $230 per hour at home or preschool. $200 / Session
Treatment Session 40-45 minutes. Individualised treatment programs to develop play, interaction, comprehension, expressive communication and social skills. $150 / Session
Treatment Session 50-55 minutes. As above. $190 / Session
Therapy-based Speech Results at Ivanhoe 2 Speech Pathologists Speech Pathologist Pragmatic Language Group (Preschoolers) Pragmatics for Prep (School-aged) 1.25 hours x 5 weeks. 6 – 8 children per group. Highly structured group therapy programs focussed on developing early social communication and peer interaction skills. $800 / Program

Please note that there may be cancellation and/or other fees associated with some services. For more information please contact the service provider as these are not covered by the early intervention funding under the Helping Children with Autism package.
