The Early Intervention Service works in natural settings with eligible children up to six years old. Utilising a family centred approach, the program supports families to maximise the inclusion and development of the individual child.
The program will be individual sessions and/or small group sessions based on the child's needs and the family's regular routines. A number of therapies, programs and strategies is offered - PECS, Hanen, Floortime, Sensory Integration, social stories - to enhance social skills, language and life skill development.
Sessions will include assessment, parent information, resources and reports for school transition as required. |
$90 ph
typically, individual sessions 2 hours x 6 weeks
group sessions 2 hours x 8 weeks
plus planning, evaluation and future direction setting with family – 2 hours

Behaviour Intervention
Affirming Families |
Behavioural intervention support workers come from a range of disciplines including OT, Disability Studies and Psychology. |
Affirming Families provides in-home ‘hands on’ behavioural intervention support to families, at the time (after hours and business hours) and in settings (home, shopping centre etc) where the behaviours occurs. Using a positive behaviour support approach, a behavioural assessment is undertaken in partnership with families. A plan is drawn up aiming to support families to develop skills and gain confidence in managing their child’s behaviour and increase the child’s participation with their extended family and local community. |
