Family-based Early Bird Autism Service at Hawthorn Psychologist Your Preschooler with Autism.This program provides information and support to teach families skills to analyse triggers that might be leading to undesirable behavoiur, develop strategies and systems to manage a wide range of behavioural issues and interact positively and effectively with their child $1760 / Program
For families already knowledgable about the core deficits of autism. Uses the principles of ABA, Naturalistic Teaching, and Incidental Teaching. The techniques include assessment of current skills, and use of positive reinforcement, visual schedules and social stories to devlop new skills $1760 / Program
Individual sessions will target identifying skill deficits and inappropriate behaviours, and then develop strategies to ameliorate these. Effective interventions include skill shaping, positive reinforcement programs, visual schedules, social stories, and effective use of rules and consequences $220 / Hour
Behavioural; Therapy-based Early Bird Autism Services at Childcare/kinder/school Psychologist Childcare/kinder/school visit. These visits will increase knowledge and skill for staff to enable them to support the goals in the childs individual service plan $220 / Hour
Therapy-based Early Bird Autism Service at Hawthorn Speech Pathologist Speech Pathology. Sessions will involve communication skills development in areas such as play, language, articulation and phonology, and pragmatic lanaguge skills. Sessions may also involve parent training and skill development in Hanen, Floortime , PECS and use of visuals and social stories. $165 / Hour
Speech Pathology. These visits will increase knowledge and skill for staff to enable them to support the goals in the childs individual service plan $165 / Hour
Speech Pathology Groups. These sessions will cover social skills and language development. $100 / Session
Therapy-based Earlybird Autism Services at home or educational setting Occupational Therapist Occupational therapy.Sessions will involve skill acquisition and development in the area of fine motor, sensorimotor, psychosocial (anxiety/emotional/social difficulties) and activities of daily living. Sessions may also involve parent/staff training to support the childs individual program $165 / Hour
Therapy-based Earlybird Autism Services at Hawthorn Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist; Psychologist Speech Pathology/Occupational Therapy assessment. The assessment will provide information about the child's current level of functioning to assist with goal setting, provide information to parents and carers and assisting with transitions in educational settings. Reports will be provided on request $165 / Hour
Psychology assessment.The assessment will provide information about the child's current level of functioning to assist with goal setting, providing information to parents and carers and assisting with transitions in educational settings. Reports will be provided on request $240 / Hour
Family-based Earlybird Autism Services at Hawthorn Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist; Psychologist Program Review Meetings. Each professional providing services to the child and family meets with the family to review progress and set new goals. $165 / Hour
Therapy-based Earlybird Autism Services at Child's educational setting Speech Pathologist; Occupational Therapist; Psychologist Speech Pathology/Occupational therapy Targeted Transition Support.This could inculde educational setting visits, teacher and staff training and reports if requested, all to support transition and continued development of the childs goals $165 / Hour

Therapy-based Early Bird Autism Services at Abbotsford Speech Pathologist "More than Words" - The Hanen Program for parents of children with autism. This program is a parent training group which has a family centred focus designed to increase the functional communication and social interactions of your child. The program runs for 16 weeks and consists of 8 X 2 hour group sessions, 4 home visits, Education from an Occupational - Therapist about Sensory Processing in Autism, 1 Parent training manual per family, progress report at end of program $2600 / Program

Please note that there may be cancellation and/or other fees associated with some services. For more information please contact the service provider as these are not covered by the early intervention funding under the Helping Children with Autism package.
