Our multidisciplinary therapy program is provided by a Speech Pathologist and/or an Occupational Therapist.
We create a family-centred program through regular family planning meetings and in-session parent partnership. Our focus is to help you develop your child’s communication, play, social relating, sensory processing and self–care skills. Our program goals and school visits are to help you and your child prepare for pre-school and school transition. |

“More than Words” – The Hanen Program for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is a parent group training program. It is a family-centred program teaching you how to develop communication, play and social relating behaviours in your child. In addition parents experience support from other parents of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Program spans 16 weeks and is held in the evenings so both parents can attend. The program includes:
- 8 x 2 hour parent group training sessions,
- 1 session will focus on sensory processing and self care. Lead by SP and OT.
- 4 individual home or clinic videotaping coaching sessions,
- parent manual, and
- progress report at the end of the program.
