As part of the 2009-10 Budget Measure, DSP Better and Fairer Assessments, the Impairment Tables for the assessment of work-related impairment for the Disability Support Pension (“DSP”) have been reviewed, taking into account contemporary medical and rehabilitation practice to ensure that applicants for this pension receive an appropriate level of income support and employment assistance package, based on their level of impairment and their work capacity.
