On 11 May 2012 the Hon Julie Collins, Minister for the Status of Women, announced eleven community projects to share in over $3.7 million to encourage safe and healthy relationships among young people.
The projects are funded from the Government's $9.1 million Respectful Relationships initiative which aims to prevent sexual assault and domestic and family violence through education.
The projects will operate in school and non-school environments across the country and will teach young people about ethical behaviors and equip them with the skills to engage in respectful relationships.
