The Government’s Secure and Sustainable Pension Reforms, which commenced on 20 September 2009, discontinued the Seniors Concession Allowance.
The final instalment of the Seniors Concession Allowance was paid to eligible Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders soon after 20 September 2009.
On 20 September 2009, the Seniors Supplement was introduced to replace the former Seniors Concession Allowance and Telephone Allowance for eligible Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders.
