  A report by the senate select committee on housing affordability in Australia.

• National Housing Supply Council 2nd State of Supply report 2010
  The Council released its 2nd State of Supply Report 2010 on 27 April 2010. Underlying demand has continued to grow (by more than 200,000 households) and the gap between demand and supply has continued to increase since the last report.

• Narrative Report - Projections of Housing Demand in Australia
  This report provides a narrative description of results of the projection of future housing demand in the capital cities and balances of state for the eight States and Territories of Australia for the period, 2006-21.

• The 1998 national survey of rent assistance recipients: a report on key findings
  In July 1998 the former Australian Government Department of Families and Community Services (FaCS) commissioned a national survey of social security clients who received Rent Assistance payments.

• Commonwealth State Housing Agreement
  The 2003 Commonwealth State Housing Agreement is an agreement, authorised under the Housing Assistance Act 1996, between the Australian Government and the states and territories.

• The HOME Advice Evaluation Report
  The Household Organisational Management Expenses (HOME) Advice Program assists families who face difficulty in maintaining tenancies or home ownership due to personal or financial circumstances.

• Housing Assistance Act 1996 Annual Reports
  The Housing Assistance Act 1996 aims to assist people to obtain access to housing that is affordable and appropriate to their needs, and to provide assistance for other housing related purposes.

• National Social Housing Surveys
  These surveys began as customer satisfaction surveys and have gradually been expanded to obtain tenant opinions on other aspects of housing provided. Reports from 2005 onwards are available on the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare website.

• Public housing estate renewal in Australia
  This report is aimed to gain an understanding of the problems being faced in public housing estate renewal projects and to develop a framework for project evaluation, particularly with respect to social and economic impacts.

• Social Housing Initiative - Guidelines
  The Commonwealth have prepared a set of guidelines for state and territory governments which set out arrangements for the administration and delivery of Stage 2 (new construction) which includes procurement requirements.

• The Rent Assistance Programme: A Synthesis and Analysis of Stakeholder Views
  This report documents an investigation of stakeholder views about the operation of the Australian Government's Rent Assistance (RA) programme, in the context of broader housing affordability issues.
