Attendance Case Management Framework

The Attendance Case Management Framework (ACMF) uses a behavioural management approach to set a community wide expectation of 100 per cent attendance by all students at school. Attendance Case Managers work with parents, students, schools and the broader community to set and meet the expectation of 100 per cent attendance.

The project is underpinned by a belief that tackling the student attendance problem requires intensive work with both parents (to ensure their child attends school) and schools (to ensure they supply education for the full school day).

Attendance Case Managers are based in schools in each Welfare Reform community. They visit parents if a student is late to or absent from school, make referrals to services, support parents in meeting their obligations and engage with all community partners and service providers.
