Q1. What is the purpose of the Child Support Policy Community Strategy funding?
A1. The purpose of the funding is to:
- provide feedback on the effect of the Child Support Scheme;
- provide input into future policy; and
- ensure that the Government continues to receive valuable advice on the effect of the Child Support Scheme on the Australian community.
The funding will commence from 1 January 2010 and cease on 31 December 2012.

A2. Applications for Child Support Policy Community Strategy funding opened on 19 September 2009 and will close on 19 October 2009.
Q3. How much funding is available to applicants
A3. Depending on the number of successful organisations, funding will range from $60,000 - $120,000 per year. Funding will commence on 1 January 2010 and cease on 31 December 2012
Q4. When will the assessment process start and when will successful applicants be announced?
A4. The assessment process commences on 21 October 2009. We expect that successful applicants will be announced in early December 2009.
