Emergency Relief

The wage cost component for this program is 30.0 per cent as funding is primarily focused on providing financial support, food and related emergency resources. Supplementation offers will not be issued when the grants are quite small, as it is unlikely that any SACS workers are paid out of the administrative cost allocation.

Home and Community Care

The wage cost component for this program is 8.2 per cent. A large proportion of the Home and Community Care workforce provide direct care and fall within the home care category of the SACS award, which is out-of-scope of the decisions. Therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs. Organisations will be able to request a review if they consider their offer for SACS supplementation did not reflect their SACS wage costs.

Mental Health Services in Rural and Remote Areas Program

The wage cost component for this program is 30.0 per cent as funding is primarily to provide psychological support by allied health professionals, such as psychologists, who do not fall within a SACS award; therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs.

Youth Mental Health Initiative

The wage cost component for this program is 40.0 per cent as funding is primarily to provide psychological support by allied health professionals, such as psychologists, who do not fall within a SACS award; therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs.

Programs of Assistance for Survivors of Torture and Trauma

The wage cost component for this program is 30.0 per cent as funding is primarily to provide psychological support by allied health professionals, such as psychologists, who do not fall within a SACS award; therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs.

Better Outcomes in Mental Health Care Programs

The wage cost component for this program is 20.0 per cent as funding is primarily to provide psychological support by allied health professionals, such as psychologists, who do not fall within a SACS award; therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs.

COAG Mental Health – Telephone Counselling and Self-help and Web-based Program Support Program

The wage cost component for this program is 10.0 per cent as funding is primarily provided for admin support associated with the delivery of the helplines (which are manned by volunteers); therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs.

Telephone Perinatal Peer Support

The wage cost component for this program is 40.0 per cent as funding is primarily provided for admin support associated with the delivery of the helplines (which are manned by volunteers); therefore the wage cost component is comparatively less than that of other programs.

Community Nursing

The wage cost component for this program is 5.0 per cent as funding is primarily to provide clinical nursing services by registered nurses, enrolled nurses or assistants in nursing, who do not fall within a SACS award.

Veterans’ Home Care

The wage cost component for this program is 12.0 per cent as funding is primarily to provide Domestic Assistance services by Home Care workers not covered by the relevant schedules of the SACS award.
