Register of Harm Prevention Charitable Institutions
From 1 July 2003, charitable institutions whose principal activity is to promote the prevention or the control of behaviour that is harmful or abusive to human beings can apply for entry to a tax deductible gift register to assist them in obtaining financial support from the community for their activities. Entry on the Register assists charities to attract public support by making donations and gifts to those charities tax deductible.
