Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth - additional resourcing
What's New?
This new funding reinforces the Australian Government's commitment to support the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY) infrastructure. The funding of over $2 million per year reflects the high priority placed on children and young people by this government.Background
ARACY brings together researchers, policy makers and practitioners to develop knowledge and deliver better outcomes for children and young people. Continued infrastructure funding will provide a stable base for ARACY, enabling it to capitalise on its many successes. Funding specifically will:- enable staffing and resource certainty;
- improve technological capacity; and,
- support ARACY's many networking activities.
In 2002, the Prime Minister launched ARACY and, in 2004, instigated Australian Government funding of $1 million per year for two years.
