The amount of each instalment of student start-up scholarship is $1,025 or a total of $2,050 for the 2012 calendar year if the person qualifies for both semesters.
On 1 January each year, commencing 2013, the amount of the student start-up scholarship will be indexed in line with CPI increases.
The student start-up scholarship will be paid in a maximum of 2 half-year instalments in a calendar year at the beginning of each university semester for the duration of the course, while the student continues to qualify.
