11.3.8.20 Exit Interview under the Child Protection Measure

Exit interview

At the exit interview, the delegate will discuss with the person the transition to standard payment arrangements or the transition to income management under another measure and the final disbursement of any remaining funds in their income management account. The delegate will also offer the following options for the person to consider if they will not be subject to compulsory income management under another measure:

  • voluntary income management,
  • payment nominee,
  • Centrepay, and/or
  • financial management support.

If a person will be subject to another measure of income management upon exiting the Child Protection Measure, the delegate will discuss the impacts of this transition with the person in the exit interview.

The delegate may also encourage people exiting income management to access or continue to access financial management support services (11.1.2).

The delegate will advise the child protection authority of the person's exit from income management.
