Please read this advice before accessing the reports.
FaHCSIA is publishing a series of grant reports by selected boundaries to assist policy developers, researchers and others better understand how its grant funding is contributing to community services across Australia.
The reports complement the grant reporting already available on FaHCSIA’s website as they provide the estimated 2012-13 grant funding for each location and outlet of funded organisations. Data is available by four boundaries: Local Government Area (LGA); and Commonwealth Electorate, and ABS Statistical Area Levels 3 and 4.
The estimates have been provided by FaHCSIA’s grant recipients; they should be considered indicative only and used with care in any analysis.
Please note the following points about the data:
- the accuracy of the estimated grant attribution to locations/outlets will vary depending on the financial management framework of organisations, and will change throughout the year as funded organisations respond to changing demand patterns and cost changes;
- the estimated grant attribution is in respect to the specific locations/outlets which can have a large service coverage area. For example, a location/outlet located in one LGA can provide services and assistance to people across a number of LGAs;
- some locations have an estimated location funding value of $0. This occurs when the location continues to operate from funding provided in previous years; and
- some locations have the estimated location funding field populated with the words “fee for service”. This occurs for Autism and Better Start Early Intervention panel service providers.
The data represents location/outlets for grants active at 31 October 2012 and will be updated every six months. To help with analysis, all relevant locations/outlets have been provided, including those that were only operational for part of the financial year.
For this reason, the reports must not be used as a basis to refer members of the community to services. Please refer to your local directories or contact the legal entity shown to confirm outlet locations and office hours.
Housing programs recently transferred to FaHCSIA have not been included in the reports. The next release of these reports is scheduled for May 2013.
