The fourth instalment of the LIFE series, ‘Life at 7’, will screen on ABC 1 at 8:30pm, 16 October (episode 1) and 23 October (episode 2).
‘Life at 7’ features the ordinary and extraordinary events of ten Australian children as they learn to deal with life’s hurdles and challenges at the pivotal age of seven. The series uses research findings from the FaHCSIA-funded Growing Up in Australia: the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC) during its commentary about the families.

The 2010–11 LSAC annual report will be released on 15 October prior to the screening of episode 1 on ABC1. The report includes the latest findings from Wave 4 about children’s enjoyment of reading and maths, children’s weight management, children’s worries, and how closely aligned the parent’s and child’s beliefs are about whether parents know what the children are doing during the day.
