The Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) invites suitably qualified organisations to submit an application to deliver Children’s Contact Services in Victoria under the Family Support Program.
The Children’s Contact Services enable children of separated parents to have safe contact with the parent that they do not live with in circumstances where parents are unable to manage their own contact arrangements. Children’s Contact Services provide a safe, neutral venue for the transfer of children between separated parents. Parents may be ordered to attend a Children’s Contact Service by a court to facilitate changeover or have supervised visits with their children.
FaHCSIA is seeking to fund a service that is responsive to the specialist needs of clients accessing Children’s Contact Services in these geographical services areas:
- Southern Melbourne Activity Delivery Area (Frankston)
- South East Outer Melbourne Delivery Area (Casey-Cranbourne)
Delivery of the services will cover the period October 2012 to June 2014 with funds of approximately $408,000 for Southern Melbourne and approximately $423,000 for South East Outer Melbourne.
