Child care and early education in Australia - The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children
Endnotes
- Stability of care is also determined by the number of changes of care provider that the child experiences within each care arrangement; however, this aspect of care could not be addressed within the LSAC design.
- Two oft-cited British studies that have been omitted in the current review include the National Child Development Survey (NCDS), and the British Cohort Study (BCS70), both of which are conducted by the Centre for Longitudinal Studies at the Institute of Education in London. The NCDS is seeking to follow the lives of all those living in Great Britain who were born between 3 and 9 March 1958. The first data were collected in 1965, when the study children were aged 7 years. The BCS70, is a continuing, multidisciplinary longitudinal study which takes as its subjects all those living in Great Britain who were born between 5 and 11 April 1970. The first data were collected in 1970.
