Feedback received on draft Indigenous Economic Development Strategy

The closing date for submissions on the draft Indigenous Economic Development Strategy was extended to 17 December 2010 to allow more Australians to have their say on the draft Strategy.

The draft Strategy was released on Monday, 24 May 2010, by the Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Jenny Macklin, the then Minister for Employment Participation, Senator Mark Arbib and the then Deputy Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.

It outlines a framework for increasing the wellbeing of Indigenous Australians by supporting greater economic participation and self reliance.
