Indigenous Newslines for September–November

25/09/2009

The September–November 2009 edition of Indigenous Newslines magazine has just been published. It looks at the Fitzroy Crossing community’s battles against alcohol abuse, the increasing involvement of Indigenous Australians in the national debate on water, and efforts being made to get more Aboriginal and Torres Islander job seekers into employment.

Indigenous Newslines is published five times a year and is complemented by a weekly radio program, Newslines Radio.

The radio program and magazine enable Indigenous people in urban, regional and remote Australia to share experiences on a range of issues, including health, housing, education, employment, business, environment, sport, leadership, art and culture.
