The new weekly Newslines Radio program provides information on services and programs and shares stories from Indigenous communities and individuals across Australia. The radio program complements Indigenous Newslines magazine.
The first program features some of the key players involved in the setting up of the new national representative body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The other three September 2009 programs look at the impact of Indigenous tourism industry on the national and international scenes, Indigenous tourism operators making their mark, and the efforts being made to keep the Gamilaraay language alive in the Tamworth region.
Presented by Nathan Ramsay, Newslines Radio is distributed to Indigenous media organisations across Australia, as well as aired via the National Indigenous Radio Service on Townsville Indigenous radio 4KIG – on the Murri Voices program each Monday (10am to noon) and From the Bush program each Thursday (noon to 2pm).
The programs, transcripts and links to Government programs and services mentioned in the programs are updated weekly.
