The Secretary of the Department, Finn Pratt PSM who is a White Ribbon Day Ambassador, encouraged FaHCSIA staff to remember those people whose lives have been affected by violence, and to focus on and commit to ways we can work together as a community, to reduce violence against women.
FaHCSIA contributes funding that directly supports the White Ribbon Foundation. FaHCSIA is also responsible for administering over $86 million in programs that work to improve the lives of women who have been victims of violence and prevent violence from occurring as part of the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022.
